Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the Training Center, including but not limited, to all dorm rooms, public areas (interior and exterior) and meeting rooms.
Applies and enforces company policies and procedures in all assigned areas of responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITY:
Manages and schedules the Housekeeping Department staff which includes all Guest Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants and Utility Workers.
Utilizes daily and weekly occupancy reports to schedule all staff (guest room attendants, laundry attendants and utility workers) to ensure maximum production while operating within budgeted guidelines.
Establish work routines, creating schedules that are flexible enough to cope with emergencies, fluctuating occupancy, etc.
Schedules and completes daily worksheets and room/section assignments for all GRAs.
Schedules all daily and maintenance cleaning of all public areas including but not limited to administration offices, meeting rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, storage rooms, exterior windows, gift shop, gymnasium, sauna, showers, and other work/public areas so that health standards are met.
Conducts and is responsible for all inventories; linen, room amenities, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
Maintains par stocks in accordance with company standards.
Coordinates the operation of the housekeeping department with other ITEC departments to maximum efficiency.
Establishes preventative maintenance program for all equipment and furnishings.
Initiates work orders for repairs.
Follows through on work orders to ensure their completion.
Maintains strong working relationships with all Department Heads and other Training Center staff.
Develops a continuing inspection program for all areas, to ensure that proper maintenance and high standards of housekeeping are being maintained.
Inspects guest rooms on a regularly scheduled program.
Maintains standards of housekeeping, and reports damage or use of unauthorized items by ITEC employees or guests.
Secures all storage areas to protect inventories.
Interviews new applicants and oversees their training and development.
Keep training records, to include 30-60-90 days plans.
Establishes a training program within the department.
This program will ensure all personnel equal consideration for promotional opportunities.
Responsible for payroll preparation and employee wages and reviews.
Maintains close contact with employees, respecting them as individuals and ensuring good communications leading to high morale within the department.
Discusses grievances, suggestions, and complaints with the employees.
Attempts to resolve problems and recommends appropriate solutions and actions.
Directs participation in training and following of safety procedures to provide safe working conditions.
Stimulates employees toward friendly, cheerful attitudes with emphasis on courtesy toward fellow employees and guests.
Is constantly alert for newer methods, techniques, equipment and material, which will improve the efficiency and quality standards of the Center.
Make appropriate recommendations to management.
Serves as expediter on special projects as assigned by the General Manager.
Holds monthly department meetings and supervisor meetings.
Attends all Staff meetings.
Confers with the General Manager on any problem in areas of responsibility.
Gives input to the department's annual budget preparations, and operates within the parameters of the approved budget; making adjustments based on business levels.
Coordinates with the Guest Service and Maintenance departments on all out of order rooms.
Support both Training Center and departmental objectives.
Develops an understanding of objectives with department employees.
Maintains an on-going training program to emphasize guest courtesy and awareness.
Fulfills other duties as assigned and directed by the General Manager.
Comply with all safety standards and procedures.
Comply with all service standards and procedures of the department and IUOE Training Center.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of housekeeping management experience.
Certificate or degree in hospitality preferred.
Fully bilingual (Spanish) required.
Valid driver license.
Able to work flexible hours.
Able to lift 50-75 pounds.
Able to stand, stoop and bend for prolonged periods of time.
Union experience a plus.
