Green Sage Services, LLC Green Sage Services, LLC Crosby, TX Crosby, TX Full-time Full-time $65,000 - $80,000 a year $65,000 - $80,000 a year 11 days ago 11 days ago 11 days ago The Superintendent will be responsible for managing field operation and coordinating activities of workers engaged in multiple landscape & irrigation installation projects of all sizes; Responsible for prioritizing tasks and identifying problems as they relate to the organization of the job in coordination with the project manager and support team to complete all aspects of the project.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensures that all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, within budget and on schedule.
Review all plans, specifications and estimates and bring any issues regarding materials and schedules to the attention of the Project Manager.
Attend pre-construction meetings with General Contractors and architects onsite before start of job.
Schedule of crews for days and weeks ahead, effectively and efficiently to meet project deadlines and avoid unnecessary delays.
Communicate with Project Administrator regarding all applicable permits, utility locates and inspections prior to execution, ensuring internal digging permits are processed and in the file.
Work with Project Manager in sourcing and procurement for materials on projects; Order long lead items as required.
Ensure best use of tools and equipment efficiently to ensure project completion and keep all rentals to a minimum and call off rentals immediately after use.
Act as Quality Control Manager for all job site installations; perform and record regular quality inspections and tests of work performed and vendor materials.
Conduct various punch list walk-throughs upon completion of phases, to include assembly and completion of punch-list items in preparation for final walk-through.
Submit all change order information to the Project Administrator for submittal to owner; Effectively communicate change order details to crews and subcontractors.
Organize weekly safety talks with crews and ensure proper PPE and other safety related information is presented to all crews.
Follow all safety protocols for reporting any accidents and ensure safety policies are being followed.
Daily collection of all receipts/bills of lading for all materials delivered to projects; ensuring each is properly identified with job name, number and PO.
Work with Project Administrator to track all expenses on jobs, ensuring proper entry of time, materials and subcontractors for each.
Must adhere by and uphold company policies, procedures and company core values at all times Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Ability to multi-task in a fast environment.
Strong organizational skills.
Previous supervisory experience in landscaping or construction required.
OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred.
(will be required to obtain upon hire) Associate degree in horticulture, landscaping, or related field a plus.
