75 an hour PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
To provide consistent, accurate, and exceptional guest services to program/training attendees and department representatives.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Acquires expert knowledge of Center and in-house facilities to respond to guest questions in this area required.
Ability to resolve guest issues or problems quickly and decisively.
Has a thorough knowledge of the front office systems including MAESTRO, Shift Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, telephone system, and fax/copier.
Ability to shuttle attendees to/from both Houston Airports, around the training center campus or as directed by management.
Keeps immediate supervisor and department heads promptly and fully informed of all challenges or unusual matter of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt, corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
Ensures the hygiene, cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of the Reception/Lobby areas.
Reviews all group folios and takes necessary action on any requirements assigned to the Front Desk.
Works closely with housekeeping department to meet demands of anticipated guest arrivals and departures, control room status and availability.
Assures that the Housekeeping Report(s) are received daily, properly checked and filed for history/reference.
Greet guests and make them feel welcome in the Training Center.
Participates and executes any Guest Service duties and functions to ensure a smooth operation including driving shuttle passage van.
Properly handles all guest and/or department mail, messages and packages.
Participates and communicates matters relating to guest, employee, and building security.
Performs security rounds/property walks (as directed by immediate supervisor) to lock, secure, and observe the building.
Answers telephones with standardized greeting and handles callers' requests promptly and effectively (i.
e.
transfers callers to the correct department).
Asks questions, takes accurate notes, and communicates information to departments as needed.
Handles guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
Follows-up on guest complaints and concerns in timely manner (via email, phone or in person).
Communicates all maintenance or other issues to the immediate supervisor and other department heads as needed.
Communicates important information and shift related notes to co-workers.
Displays a warm and professional demeanor towards fellow employees, guests, superiors, and subordinates.
Complies with all safety standards and procedures.
Complies with all service standards and procedures of the department and IUOE Training Center.
Attends all designated department and Training Center meetings.
Performs all other task as requested.
